Historical, enlightening and thought
provoking,
a personal look at the men and women
who participated in the sitdown strike
of 1936-1937 which resulted in the
recognition of the UAW. A short film
and guided tour of the monument tell
of the struggle for union representation
in the booming automobile industry.
This momentous event occurred in Flint
and affected the rise of the working
middle class the world over Flint
Truck Assembly and UAW Region 1-C
are only 1 block apart. Tour times
are set to facilitate back to back
tours at each location. All tour arrangements
must be made thru the Flint Area Convention
and Visitor’s Bureau.
